Obituary:Catherine Jane MacMillan, 69, of Ellensburg died Monday at Kittitas Valley Community Hospital. Ms. MacMillan was born in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She was a professor of anthropology at Central Washington University until retiring in 1996, and served as chair of the Department of Anthropology and chair of the Faculty Senate. Ms. MacMillan also was a forensic anthropologist specializing in facial reconstruction and a trained X-ray technician. She worked several years at the Providence Medical Center heart center.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Coles of Ellensburg; and a brother, Dr. John C. McMillan of Fountain Hills, Ariz.
Viewing will be from 8:30 a.m. until after the Scripture Service at 7 p.m. Thursday at Steward and Williams Chapel, Ellensburg. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church. He attended NIJC, St Martin's, and WWSC (B A Education) and EWSC (M A Education). Teacher and coach in Cashmere WA (1956-), East (Spokane) Valley, and at SFCC. Retired 1991. Tom married Joan Joyce KELLER in 1957 in Chelan Co WA. Tom died 29 Sep 2008 in Spokane Valley. Four children, seven grandchildren. More family information.
Tom graduated 1948, and returned to coach the IHM football team in August 1949, at age 19, "probably the youngest coach in the country", according to a UPI news story. He "won honors in school as an all-around sports ace."

Born 15 Dec 1931 on the Colville Indian Reservation to Julius (1912-1987) and Gertrude (VEACH 1915-1990) TOULOU, both Native Americans. Lila married 7 Oct 1950 to Dean BOURGEAU (b 14 Jul 1928) in Stevens county WA. Dean went to the Korean conflict a month later, and returned 2 years later (Sept 1952). Apparently they divorced, because Lila married 2nd at Cd'A to Henry S JERRED on 3 July 1953. Henry died in 2003. Lila died 9 Apr 2007 at Inchelium WA.
