Born at Cd'A on 6 Sep 1899 to Moses (1852-1918)& Delphine (BURGESS 1859-1927) AMELL [15 births, 10 living], Post Falls grocer. Married c1925 to Freda Ann (ZIMBRICK) (b 25 Jun 1903 - d 31 Jan 1998). Truck driver, Portland OR [1930]. Four daughters, 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren (see obituaries). Died 21 Jan 1992 at Portland. Buried with wife in Tigard OR.

On 28 Nov 1935, Mildred (34, SD) married at Kalispell to Oliver John HOCKLEY (29, ND), with a license dated 5 months earlier, and Mildred's middle initial as C. They lived in Kalispell in 1940, with children George and Rose Mary. Oliver was a radio station engineer.
In 1985, Mildred Carol HOCKLEYdied in February 1985 in Solano County CA, and is buried on Vashon Island WA, as is her husband Oliver (1906-1984), and son George (1937 MT-2003 WA). She also has a daughter, Rose Mary, b 1939 MT.

Kathryn C DAWSON, b 12 Nov 1898, died 30 Jan 1990 in Spokane. Royal, born 5 Aug 1900, died in March 1958. Son Thomas died in 1998. Royal, Kathryn and son Thomas are buried in Lewiston. Kathryn's dad died in 1904, of cancer.
