Jim enjoyed reading history, gardening and many sports. He boxed and played football in college. He enjoyed horseback riding, fishing and boating. He skied until he was 80 and hunted until he was 85.
Jim and Ona traveled to North and South America, Europe and Africa.
Jim built a log cabin in Squaw Bay on Lake Coeur d'Alene where many vacations and reunions took place.
